National Percentile Ranking simply compares you to your peers. Your rank is equal to the percentage of your peers scoring below you. Percentile ranking is only available for certain surveys.

From your dashboard, click ‘Details’ in the upper right corner of the survey tile. You can view your ranking for each question group for the last 30, 60, 90, or 180 days.

To create a report of your National Percentile Ranking, click the ‘Report Builder’ tab from the ‘Reports & Comments’ drop down in the side navigation.

The Mean Score is calculated by dividing the total number of points scored in a survey by the amount of surveys. For example, a survey is sent to three patients. One responds with a three, one with a four, and one with a five. The scores (3, 4, 5) are added up and divided by the number of patients surveyed (3):

(3+4+5)/3 = 4

In this scenario, the mean score is 4.

In short, the National Percentile Ranking compares you to your peers, while the Mean Score represents your total average score.
